about

As the sixth release on the label, it was time to open the door to my fellow friend Mazi from Audio Soul Project and Afterhours. He was responsible for the licencing of "No Time To Lose" and for bringing me to Chicago the first time. During my first trip there we produced "Everything is Allright'" for his Audio Soul Project debut album on NRK.

This project is the first from Mazi on Brique Rouge. It features legendary Chicago Dj and vocalist Colette.

This track has been released in 4 records with various mixes that are all gathered here for you pleasure.

The original 12inch BR006 has been pressed at 1000 copies at MPO and distributed by Venus in 2000. It featured the infamous Llorca Pommes Noisettes Mix as included on our first compilation Do It As Brique Rouge.

Then a 3-part vinyl ep has been released in 2002, all records have been pressed at 1000 copies each at DFI (France) and distributed by Venus.

They were all part of a 13 black sleeves serie with a word on the back of each. By assembling the 13 sleeves you could read the lable moto" We Are Into Anything As Long As It Has Soul and Its Original"

Other records part of this serie were the Secret Gems From The Vault eps

The remixes has been created by the like of 2020Vision's Ralph Lawson and Carl Finlow (Leeds, UK), Phil Weeks from Robsoul (Paris, France), Ten Bar's Absolute Pressure (Uk), Sasse of Freestyle Man (Frankfurt, Germany), Q Burns Abstract Message from Eighth Dimension (Orlando, FL) and of course Llorca from F Communication (Paris)

"Do You Want Me" has been some kind of an anthem for the label for years
